- Family Law
My family law practice consists of divorce and related issues, including child custody and support, alimony, and modifications. I counsel clients in paternity cases to determine the biological father of their children and establish parental rights and support obligations, and I help families in guardianship cases in which grandparents, friends, and other family members are the primary caregivers to children. I also handle name changes and adoptions, including stepparent adoption, private adoption, and placement adoption.
- Divorce
As your divorce attorney, I will provide strong representation of your interests in establishing the fair and equitable division of property, including 401(k) accounts and other investments and retirement accounts. My previous professional experience as an industrial engineer has instilled in me the ability to be detail-focused in assessing your entire marital estate. I handle both contested and uncontested divorce, including pro se divorce and mediation. As your attorney, I will be your advocate regarding spousal support, including alimony modifications.
- Custody and Visitation
As your custody and visitation lawyer, I will be your personal advocate in helping you to maintain a strong and nurturing relationship with your children after divorce or separation. With respect to the collective needs of your kids and you as their parent, I will work diligently in resolving your legal issues. I have experience in establishing parenting time and a fair visitation schedule, and I handle cases involving joint custody, primary physical custody, residential custody, parental rights, and third-party custody involving grandparents or other family members. If your children have special needs involving medical conditions, behavioral problems, or educational issues, I will represent their interests with informed compassion.
- Estate Planning and Wills
I strive to help clients understand the importance of protecting their assets, property and legacy for their futures and the futures of their loved ones. My firm can assist in the creation and establishment of a wide range of estate planning documents including wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney (which are similar to what used to be called living wills) and guardianships.
- Traffic Tickets
I represent clients that have recieved a range of types of traffic tickets, including speeding tickets, in the Kansas City Metro Area.
